The Beautiful Spice Island of Zanzibar... where I am from. The delicious food cooked in coconut milk, the tropical climate, the feeling of the salty air, the sense of exotic...the spices it was know for... cloves! Ahead of it's time and a major strategic trading island in the Indian Ocean, it is known for it's splendor and beauty. I must say it's quite a contrast when I hear the music and the conversation in this fabulously done National Geographic video... ahhh! the language comes back... the soft tones of the voice rhythmic to the sounds of the Ocean Waves of the Indian Ocean... almost make me dance right here as I write this. So colorful, so innocent, so vibrant. "In Zanibar, we still fly on Carpets." ©AN
